Transitional Presentations of Learning, TPOLs, are an opportunity for students to showcase their growth as learners and creators over the course of the school year. As we wrap up this year, we acknowledge that the unprecedented changes we faced this semester have shifted our plans.
In order to honor each students’ unique situation and in order to uphold the requirements for reflection of student growth for this school year, we will be changing the format of TPOLs. Students will not be required to complete a traditional TPOL presentation or participate in a student panel.
All seventh grade students participated in “project pods” for the last four weeks of distance learning. At the end of each pod, students completed a one-page reflection about their work on that project. As a seventh grade team, we are accepting these one-page reflections as students’ final reflection for this semester.
We will debut a collection of all seventh grade student work on Monday, June 8th at 10:00am for a final celebration of their learning. The Zoom link will be sent in a future email, and you are more than welcome to join in the celebration.
Thank you for your understanding as so much has changed this semester. We are so impressed by your students’ resilience and are so grateful for your support during this time.
